Gazprom’s exports to non-CIS countries grew by 28.3% in four months


Gazprom’s exports to non-CIS countries, according to preliminary data, in January-April 2021 increased by 28.3% compared to the same period last year, to 68.4 billion cubic meters of gas, the company said.

It is noted that gas supplies increased to most countries, including Turkey – by 143.7%, Germany – by 36.8%, Italy – by 11%, France – by 16.9%, Poland – by 20.6% %, Romania – by 139.8%, Serbia – by 97.9%, Greece – by 34.8%.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic and warm winters have weakened gas demand in Europe. Gazprom’s exports to non-CIS countries fell by about 10% last year, to 179.3 billion cubic meters of gas.

Gazprom’s production in four months increased by 13.7% compared to the same period last year, to 179.9 billion cubic meters of gas, the company said.

In addition, supplies from the gas transmission system to the domestic market increased by 18%, or 17.9 billion cubic meters.
